Overview of the Service

Early Childhood and Education and Care Service Amiga Montessori is located in Cranbourne North, Victoria, Australia. The service thus follows Maria Montessori's philosophy, which promotes child-led learning through the integration of independence, exploration, and careful craftsmanship, catering to each child's holistic development. The service thus provides a nurturing and structured setting for children aged six weeks to six years, with programs running 52 weeks per year in 9- to 10-hour full-day sessions. Hence, the infant classroom is recognised as the 'Nest' and the Toddler room as 'Pioneers'. Moreover, the preschool rooms are identified as 'Explorers'.

Hence, the program's focus is on meeting children's security, physical, and emotional needs, incorporating the Early Years Learning Framework, along with principles of structured play combined with spontaneity. The service providers' approach is to create balance in the minds of young children, not just through educational elements but also with Nutritious meals cooked by the excellent chefs on staff. Therefore, the daily routines have a blend of movement, music, art, crafts, sports, yoga and group experiences. Likewise, children are introduced to a Montessori activity in their daily routines that provides the confidence and familiarity in their learning environment, "Home away from home"

Diversity, inclusion, and respectful partnerships with families and the surrounding community are values that Amiga Montessori practices. Furthermore, the Educators are highly trained in implementing the Montessori philosophy and the National Quality Standards, enabling all children to experience high-quality education and care. Similarly, creating an environment that fosters the being, becoming, and belonging of children.
